Sourdough is a leavening agent similar to yeast, except that it draws its bacteria from the air. Sourdough is known (and popular) mainly because of its many advantages: the bread is more flavourful, lasts longer and is also healthier. This is because during the fermentation process, nutrients in the flour are broken down and easier for the body to absorb.
Our breads are between 235-295 calories per piece. Our rye-bread flavour Rye & Dates has the fewest calories, whereas Ciabatta Oliva has a few more. Try them yourself and discover which bread goes best with your favourite Every. bowl.
